Farm Fest

Saturday was a beautiful day with the temperature hanging around 70 and the sun shining. We decided to attend the annual Farm Fest along with the rest of the residents of the county. The line of cars and trucks was longer than for any other event we've seen.

Farm Fest has everything a farmer could ask for, all kinds of tools and equipment.

The very first exhibit we came to was this one by the Springfield Fire Department.

We headed for the barns to look at the livestock first.

We saw gray cattle...

and tan cattle.....

little cattle....

big and bigger cattle...

spotted cattle...

white headed cattle...

and cattle that looked like it was mixed with alpaca.

We saw horses.

We saw pretty goats...

and goats that looked like they meant business.

We saw little donkeys...

and even littler donkeys.

We saw pigs....

and sheep...

and chickens.

This woman was pushing her dog around in a stroller.

They had feed for all kinds of animals...

and this seemed to be a salad bar for horses.

If you wanted your horse to take you for a ride, you could get a new saddle...

or if you wanted to take your horse for a ride, you could get a new trailer.

I don't know what this machine does, but it looks like field art to me.

This is the reason Rob wanted to go to the fair. He wanted to play with the tractors. This was his favorite part. And what was my favorite part?

There was a litter of puppies.

No we didn't bring her home with us, but I had my puppy fix for the month.
