Tess's Tower

Tess has always liked to get in little tight spaces. When she was a little pup she would get under the trampoline or on the shelf in the bookcase. For a while we had the broken tree branches piled in the corner of the yard and she found a space to crawl into to hide. I've always thought she would like a dog house and lately I've mentioned to Rob that it would be nice if he made one for her.

Yesterday he built this tower for Tess. These are the bricks we're using for the upper wall of the pond, but in the meantime Tess has her own tower.

The dogs were mildly interested in this structure.

One at a time they would go in and look around.

They each checked it out, but they displayed no great interest.

They would walk in, look around, then come back out and look at us questioningly.

Then Rob had an inspiration.

He ran the hose over and hung it on the top of the tower.

Then he turned the water on.

Suddenly everyone wanted to get inside the tower.

They would go in and stand in the shower.

They started swarming around like bees around a beehive.

The ones inside wanted to take their time and play in the water.

The ones outside wanted their turn.

Now there was a waiting line to go in the tower and get wet.

I think Tess is going to enjoy her tower now, if she can get thru the crowd.
